海外在住の友人が帰国しリクエストは炉端焼き、思い当たる店に電話するも、祝日の前日とあって満席で、ネット予約出来そうな店も軒並み予約不可のピンチの中、ようやく思い出したのが「炙屋 総本店」ネット予約で伺いました。
アスティにあった店舗には行ったことがありましたが、ホテルの地下にあるこちらは初めてで、なかなかの高級感のある作りで、靴を預かってくれてお会計が済むと出してあるし、個室で落ち着くのも良いし、お店の方も作務衣風だったり白衣だったりきちんとしているし、肝心の焼き物は美味しくて、観光の方には申し分ないお店だと思いました。
その分お値段はお高めで、毛蟹特大10780円、キンキの炙り6490円などを横目に見て、いただいたのは小さいサイズの毛蟹6468円（市場やデパートのレベルでなく割と良いスーパーのクオリティ）や八角の焼物2090円（脂がのって美味しい）、ヤリイカお刺身1430円（デパートのお魚屋さんで買うものと同レベル)、黒ガレイの煮つけ1078円（小さめの切り身は小骨が多かったようですが、甘辛で美味しかったようです）、知床どり手羽先（三本）748円（焼鳥屋さんよりは皮がパリッとしてないけど美味しい）、長ねぎ焼き418円、椎茸焼き(2個)528円×2とやわらか白玉クリームぜんざい660円を椎茸以外は3人で各1つ。
これにビール各2はいとみんなで北の勝を1合で、一人7000円を少し切るお会計でした。
高級感のある落ち着いた雰囲気と接客の良さ、北海道らしいメニューもそろっていて、道外の方をお連れしたり、接待などにも良いお店だと思います。
