円山公園近くの割烹。
月替わりのまるやま懐石が７３５０円で、お酒を飲んで一万円強で楽しめます。京風の懐石料理と、北海道の素材を生かした創作料理のバランスが良いので嬉しいです。
観光客として札幌を訪れた場合、フレンチはバエレンタルやモリエール、やサンテなど、ビストロから高級レストランまで非常にレベルが高く、北海道の素晴らしい素材を生かした個性的な料理を沢山食べることが出来ます。
ところが和食に関しては、新鮮な魚介類の（江戸前鮨ではないですが）寿司や単純な魚料理が素晴らしい、あるいは蟹系のお店がそれぞれ工夫して楽しいのに対し、接待で行く高級和食店では妙に素材をいじくりすぎて、かえって素材の美味しさが消えている例が非常に多いと思います。高級ホテルの和食店なんかがそうですが・・・実際一泊二日の夕食でホテルで接待され、鮭は単純に焼いたのを食べたかったぁ！！！など悲しい思いを何回もしました。
このお店ではそんな思いをする事はほとんど無いと思います。観光客が札幌でいくら、うに、鮭、きんきなどを食べ飽きて、もし今日は懐石料理を食べたいと思った時は☆四つにしても良いです。
