Our delicious, carefully prepared Japanese Cuisine selection course starts from 4,200 yen
[2 minutes walk from Shindohigashi Station on the Toho Subway Line] Enjoy the cuisine of Kazuki, prepared by the chef, a craftsman who has trained in Japanese Cuisine for many years, and the warm-hear |
First visit in July 2019 I went to "Aji no Yoshizuki" for lunch, which I had been thinking about for a while. The restaurant is just a few minutes walk from Shindohigashi Station on the Toho subway line, and it's a nostalgic area for me, as I lived in the neighborhood about 25 years ago. Three cars can be parked in front of the restaurant, but perhaps because it has a slightly hidden feel, I was the only customer there from start to finish. Originally, this place was a Ramen shop, then it became Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), and it has been seven years since it became the current restaurant. The owner of the restaurant seems to have a lot of experience in Japanese-style meal, and looking at the menu, there are many interesting dishes, especially in the evening, and it seems that they have a good selection of sake. - Hinai Jidori Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl) (1,480 yen excluding tax) My notes say that they only serve 10 meals a day, but now they have lifted the limit and will stop when the rice runs out. It took about 10 to 15 minutes for the food to be served, and it came with sansho pepper and nanban as condiments, pickles and soup. The egg was soft-boiled and slightly runny, so I ate it with a wooden spoon, but the chewy texture of the local chicken and its rich flavor made me feel like it would be a shame to swallow it all right away, and I wanted to keep munching on it forever. Of particular note was the delicious glossy rice, the exquisite balance of dashi and soy sauce, and the broth with just the right amount of saltiness, neither too thick nor too thin. These two points alone set this restaurant apart from other restaurants that serve Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl) for under 1,000 yen. I should also add that both the pickles and soup were elegant and of high quality. I don't often get to come here, but I'd like to try Ten-don (tempura rice bowl), and I think this restaurant will probably not disappoint in the evening either.
