函館駅近くに宿泊していたので
夜の会食はその近くでと思い
3.5点以上の店に電話をかけたが
どこも満席。
仕方ないのでエリアを広げて
泊まっていたホテルのフロントスタッフに
お勧めの店を聞いたところ
この店が挙がりました。
向かうと外観からして大衆感
地域密着感
地元に根ざしてきたお店なのが
外観だけでわかります。
入ると広々としたカウンターに
いかにも常連客が数組
奥の座敷に通された
その通路には大型の生簀。
根ぼっけというのは店名ですが
聞くとホッケの種類で根ボッケという魚がいるようです。
その名前だけにメニューは根ボッケを使用したメニューに王道の海鮮が多数。
ホッケの刺身って超新鮮じゃないと食べれないそうです。
もちろん注文。
柔らかくて激ウマ！
もちろんホッケの刺身は初めて食べたけどびっくりしました。
ホッケの刺身が超新鮮ならこうなのか、根ボッケだからなのかはわかりません。
今まで食べた白身魚の刺身の中で1番柔らかく、美味しかった。
北海道名物ちゃんちゃん焼きも頼みました。
普通ちゃんちゃん焼きは鮭だけど
ここでは根ボッケを使ったちゃんちゃん焼きとのこと。
激ウマ！
地元に愛されているお店なのも納得。
函館を感じたかったので大満足のお店でした。
