Dinner time at [Ozeki Ozeki, the originator of Robata] located in Higashimongai, Sannomiya. As the signboard says "Original", it has a Showa era feel from the outside. The inside of the store also has a Showa era atmosphere. Robata style, where the restaurant staff inside a large U-shaped counter grills the ingredients on a large net. When it's done baking, he hands it to us sitting on the other side of the counter using a long-handled rice scoop. There are table seats behind the counter, but the best part of this restaurant is receiving your food directly from the rice scoop at the counter! I think that dishes that are simply grilled become more delicious when you can watch them being grilled right in front of you. If you sit at a table, you'll feel like you're in a regular Izakaya (Japanese-style bar)... So this time, I made a reservation by phone in advance and went to the counter. The dishes we received were: ◆Assorted sashimi ◆Satsuma-age ◆Shimeji mushroom grilled with butter ◆Steamed shimeji mushrooms in a clay pot The authentic Kagoshima satsuma-age was especially delicious❤︎ Grilled food ◆ Gyoza / Dumpling ◆Saury fish ◆Tachi fish ◆Red salmon ◆Atka mackerel ◆Scallop ◆Grilled geso ◆Yaki octopus I was worried that fish that was simply grilled would be dry, but I focused on the atmosphere ❤︎ ◆Yakitori ◆Skin ◆Zuri ◆Tsukune There are 3 yakitori skewers per person, but this time there were 4 people so there were 4 skewers. I had them grilled one by one. ◆Ginkgo Ginkgo is priced at 300 yen, and all other dishes are priced at 600 yen, making it easy to understand. The daiginjo sake from Osakaya Chobei that I received after my glass of red wine was delicious, but the special cold sake served in a bamboo container (600 yen) was generously sized and worth drinking~♫ Showa era atmosphere.
