ＪＲ尼崎駅南西のごちゃごちゃとした飲み屋街の一角、すし田の少し西にグレイスというスナックみたいなラウンジみたいな店があります。そして緑のテントの下の木製のドアの横には、しょう菜という木の看板がはめ込まれています。
ドアを開けると、もうそこは昭和の雰囲気のソファー席主体のラウンジです。カラオケもあります。でも気にせず、ずんずん奥に進んでいくと、５席ほどの寿司カウンターがあり、その空間だけは限られた時間帯だけ本格的なお寿司屋さんになっています。
テレビでも紹介されたことがあるのですが、いっぺん行ってみたら話のタネになります。しかし、カウンターで大将のおまかせをいただけば、また行きたくなること請け合いです。
出屋敷で寿司屋をしていた大将がお母さんが経営しているラウンジの一角に間借りして寿司を握っているというような形でしょうか。変わった形態ですが、出て来る寿司は本格的です。珍しいネタや凝った仕事が楽しめます。おまかせ握りと一品を頼み、ビールを飲んで一人４０００円ほどでしたから、ＣＰも高かったです。
後ろのラウンジのソファー席の団体さんも寿司を頼んでいましたが、これはクーポン利用の格安セットらしく、大皿に盛られたにぎり寿司は、我々に出された手の込んだものと明らかに違うごくごくふつうのお寿司でした。
上述したように、おまかせで握ってもらってもかなりＣＰが高いのですから、この店でお寿司を楽しむには、カウンターでおまかせに限りますね。
