西明石駅の北側にあるホテルキャッスルプラザ西明石の地下一階の日本料理屋さん。まだ明石に住んでいた8年くらい前に一度利用したことがあるが、それ以来二度目の訪問となった。
ホテルに駐車場があり、こちらで食事をすると三時間駐車無料になるのも安心じゃね。
今回は会社の同僚と訪問し、「ミニ懐石わかな」を予約していた。前日に電話で予約した時に、二人での利用だったけど快く個室の利用を受け入れてもらえた。電話の対応もとても丁寧だった。
個室は落ち着いた空間になっていて、接待などでも利用しやすいんじゃないかな。生ビールと烏龍茶で乾杯し、見た目も美しい料理を楽しんだ。仲居さんが料理を持ってきてくるたびに丁寧に料理の説明もしてくれて和まされる。
どの料理も量は多くないものの、丁寧で優しく味付けされてとても美味しかった。美味しいのでついつい早く食べてしまう。でも仲居さんはちょうどよいタイミングで次の料理を運んで下さり、とても居心地のよい時間を過ごすことがてきた。たまにはこういうのもいいね。
ちなみに最後のデザートには酒粕のパンナコッタがでてきて、日本料理屋さんならではのアイデアを感じた。最初の一口目は食べたことのない独特な風味に感じたけど、食べる毎に美味しさが加わっていく感じじゃった。
個室なので他のお客さんのことは見えなかったけど、雰囲気からするとよく賑わっていたと思う。またゆっくりしたい時には利用させていただこう。
