This is a hidden Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) located in a narrow alley behind Ookai Street. You can enjoy fresh fish dishes and authentic Izushi soba noodles in Toyooka. The restaurant offers counter |
Since I was on a business trip to Toyooka, I wanted to Tabelog and visited the restaurant. The staff's service and attitude were very friendly and smiley! The sashimi platter... was at the level of a regular Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in Osaka city. The white clams were delicious, but average. The red squid had no flavor. The amberjack was also farmed, and perhaps because it wasn't very fresh, it had a soft texture. The yokowa was also frozen and thawed, so it was watery. The sea bream was crunchy, but had the aroma and taste unique to farmed fish. The salmon was the freshest, but I didn't want to eat salmon in Toyooka... I was happy to be able to eat beef liver sashimi for the first time in a long time! The sweetness unique to liver sashimi was delicious! It was sweet and sticky, but the freshness was questionable. The red onion served with it was bitter. The large fried oysters were probably commercially frozen. They were indeed large, but the batter was thick and there was no oyster aroma. It's a shame that the Worcestershire sauce and mayonnaise were not very flavorful. There was a wide selection of sake and wine menus. Anyway, the air conditioning in the restaurant was not working, so it was cold. The lighting was dim...
