日本屈指の98度という高温源泉、平安時代の開湯という歴史ある湯村温泉にある料理旅館。「プロが選ぶ日本の旅館100選」でも上位にランクインしているお宿で、特に料理面で高い評価をされています。こちらのお宿も創業は江戸期に遡り、建物自体は新しくはないですが、よく手入れの行き届いた気持ちの良い旅館です。
地元食材をふんだんに取り入れた料理が振る舞われ、総料理長は名工・井上明彦氏。わりと表に出られることも多い方なので、名前も知られています。夕食・朝食ともに手間ひまかけたお料理なのが伝わる、温かいお食事を頂けました。
