On a weekday Wednesday, I went to the south exit area of Mito Station to have a quick drink in the neighborhood, but the restaurant I was looking for was already fully booked even when it opened. Hey, why is it so crowded even though it's a weekday? As expected, the area near the station is crowded. So, having lost my goal, I wandered towards Mito City Hall. Now that I think about it, I remembered that there was Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) called "Fukuwarai" and decided to check it out. By the way, ``Fukuwarahi'' seems to be part of the same chain of stores as ``Nomikui-dokoro Warahiya'' in Daikucho. No, I've never been there, but judging by the store's appearance, it has the feel of an ordinary, reasonably priced Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). Just before I entered, a group of 5-6 young women who appeared to be in their 20s entered the store. Wouldn't it be nice to try Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) like this once in a while? The shop was still empty, and there was only one male customer in addition to the female group from earlier. I sat down at a table and looked at the menu. First, I ordered the reasonably priced "Cheers Set" @1078. The ``Cheers Set'' is a 3-piece set that includes draft beer, 3 bottles of Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and assorted pickles. Even if you order two "Cheers Set", you can get a lot of food for 2156 yen, so if you think about it, it's a great value set. Furthermore, the appetizer comes with ``edamame'' @328, so you can drink just that. For now, cheers to each and every one of you! By the way, Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) comes with three pieces: meatballs, skin, and green onions. Although it was freshly grilled and piping hot, the taste and texture may not match that of a specialty Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) restaurant, but it is still delicious. The price including beer and pickles is 1078 yen, which is more than enough. Add another glass of draft beer @548 here. I took the opportunity to order the "Kimchi Hotpot" @1150. I'm grateful to have a pot for one person. After a while, the still-raw "kimchi hotpot" arrived on a cassette stove. Wait for the finished product while drinking beer. However, this "Kimchi Hotpot" for one person has plenty of vegetables and meat, and is almost enough for two people. Ingredients include kimchi, pork, chives, bean sprouts, Chinese cabbage, green onions, tofu, enoki mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, etc. @1150 is a great one-person hot pot! Now, once it's well-cooked, serve it. It's really great when you enjoy it piping hot with beer! Yes, it's hotpot in winter. The kimchi hotpot was not spicy, but very delicious. At the end, we added "half rice" @110 to the remaining juice of the kimchi hotpot and had it as "kimchi hotpot porridge" ♪ To be honest, I didn't feel like I could finish all of it, but it was so delicious that I finished it all. The final total amount was 3214 yen. It costs just under 3000 yen excluding the appetizer. The combination of the toast set and the hotpot was a great and fulfilling combination for me (lol). Oh, by the way, there was a group of 5-6 young girls drinking and eating a lot and having a great time. It's nice to be young (lol). Thank you for the meal!
