On Wednesday, March 20th (national holiday), I went to "Papa Burger Sweets," a popular Hamburg restaurant in Hitachinaka City, for lunch. I arrived at the restaurant around 11:30, just in time for the opening time, and was the first to enter. The interior of the restaurant is a bit old and not very spacious, but each table is separated into small rooms, creating a relaxed atmosphere for dining. I was guided to a bright table seat by the window. First, I looked at the menu, but I had already decided what to order and ordered the "Hitachi Beef Papa Burger (250g)" @ 2,640. By the way, you can choose how Hamburg is ground and how it is cooked. There are two types of ground meat: ① Recommended! Melt-in-your-mouth type ② Coarsely ground type, and I chose the recommended ①. The cooking method is medium or well done, so I asked for it to be medium. In addition, the "Hitachi Beef Papa Burger" comes with an all-you-can-eat salad, soup, rice, bread, chiffon cake, and a drink. It's great that it comes with a salad bar. Since it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, let's start with the salad and soup. The salad bar doesn't have many leafy vegetables, but it does have a variety of vegetables, such as bean sprouts, chickpeas, edamame, wakame seaweed, bamboo shoots, and cauliflower. There are also seven types of homemade dressings (pear, tomato, pineapple, etc.), making it an interesting salad bar with a wide variety of combinations. There is only one type of soup, but it has a lot of vegetables in it. It's probably a tomato-based minestrone soup. I returned to my seat with the salad and soup and started eating. The soup is full of vegetables, so you can eat a lot of them. The vegetables are stewed until they're soft, and the flavor is great. You can eat quite a lot of vegetables, including the salad. I had the salad with homemade tomato dressing, which had a refreshing taste and was delicious. After I finished the first soup and salad, I went to get the second soup and salad, and when I returned to the table, the kind owner of the restaurant brought me Hamburg. A large 250g Hamburg is placed on a Steak plate and steams with sizzle. There are about five types of Hamburg sauce, and you can choose your own sauce. I brought "Stamini! Garlic Sauce" and "Green Pepper Sauce" in containers. Of course, rice and bread are also all-you-can-eat, so I serve myself some rice and sit down. Now, I'm ready to eat! First, I cut the large Hamburg in half with a knife. Hmm? It's really super soft. This is the first time I've had Hamburg that's this soft. Although it's made from 100% Hamburg beef, it's not Hamburg that's almost completely raw, but is properly cooked, and when you cut it, a lot of meat juice comes out! It's amazing. I pour garlic sauce over half of Hamburg. It's so soft that you don't need a knife, you can easily eat it by cutting it lightly with a fork. When you eat it, it's soft, but it's properly cooked, so you can enjoy the flavor of the meat. The garlic sauce goes well with Hamburg and is delicious. I ate the second bowl of soup, salad, and rice. There were bean sprouts under Hamburg to prevent it from being overcooked. There were also plenty of vegetables here, such as corn, lotus root, carrots, and broccoli. I was happy that I could eat a lot of vegetables at this restaurant. I poured "Green Pepper Sauce" on the other half of Hamburg. It was a refreshing sauce made from unripe green pepper, onion, and lemon juice, and it was not spicy and was delicious. However, the softness of this Hamburg was unique. I could eat it without chewing. Thanks to that, I ate the large 250g hamburger Hamburg in no time. The last dessert was chiffon cake. I had walnut cake and vanilla & colorful Chocolate. The chiffon cake was very fluffy and super soft. It was light and easy to eat even after a meal. This must be what they call "mama sweets". I also had hot coffee and finished the whole thing. By the way, while we were eating, the number of customers increased and the restaurant was completely full. Most of the customers were women or families, and they all looked very happy, chatting and ordering food. The inside of the restaurant is a little cramped, so you have to be careful when using the salad bar or soup bar, but it's clear that they've made an effort to make it possible to eat in a variety of ways despite the small size.
