I'm on the day shift after a night shift. For breakfast, I prepared myself for lunch with just the salad I bought at 7-Eleven yesterday (^◇^;) For lunch, I decided to go on a soba pilgrimage for the first time in about a month. I visited Inose Rin in Kasuga, Tsukuba City. The restaurant is behind Denny's on Nishi-Odori, in a corner of a residential area north of the driving school. There is a gravel parking lot next to the restaurant. Lunchtime starts at 11:30, and when I arrived a little before that, there were already two groups of customers there. I entered late and was greeted by a woman who seemed to be the proprietress... "I'm coming alone, is that okay?" I asked humbly, and was told "It's fine!" and was shown to a private room with a raised floor (ﾟωﾟ) I wondered if it was okay, but I excused myself for now (^◇^;) I don't like it when it's small, but it's also uncomfortable when it's too big lol It reminded me of the time when I was a tour conductor and slept alone in a large banquet hall of a hotel in Hakone that was about 100 tatami mats lol "Luxurious Ten-don (tempura rice bowl) and 100% Soba" 1,380 yen excluding tax Wow, what an elegant look! The bowl for Ten-don (tempura rice bowl) is not a bowl, but a bowl like the one used for assorted sashimi. First I'd like to have the soba. Although it is 100% soba, the flavor and aroma could be a little more (^◇^;) However, it went down wonderfully well and the soba was quite delicious. Next came Ten-don (tempura rice bowl), which came with two shrimps and felt very luxurious. What made me happiest was the hidden Tempura of a soft-boiled egg ∑(ﾟДﾟ) The sauce was quite strong, so the soft-boiled egg was very tasty (●´ω｀●) There was also a varied lineup of shiso leaves, maitake mushrooms, eggplant, lotus root and white fish! As it is a luxurious Ten-don (tempura rice bowl), it was quite delicious (*´Д｀*) However, there was a bit too much sauce on it (^^;; I don't like the sauce soaking into the rice (it's like the Gyudon (Beef bowl) bowl). The best for rice is when there is a little sauce on the top! I like the feeling that the rice doesn't fall apart when you pick it up with chopsticks (^◇^;) It was a good idea to include a spoon... and the soba soup that arrived just as I was about to finish eating was also delicious (^ω^) Thank you for the meal. Listening to the proprietress take the order, it seems that many people are ordering the Shokado set meal, which is limited to 10 servings. If I get the chance, I'd like to try it myself.
