1,511 characters ★ (Note) This is a review for August. I am coming to Ibaraki Prefecture from Tokyo. A small Basque restaurant (3.53) run by a husband and wife team. There are 2 counter seats, 2 tables for 2 people, and 2 tables for 4 people, for a total of 14 seats. It is located in a space called the TSUKUBA terrace (Tsukuba Yokocho-kai), where six restaurants are connected. Charcoal-grilled main dishes cannot be ordered at lunchtime, but additional items can be ordered a la carte at other times. When asked about the restaurant's specialty, the answer was ``duck heart Grilled skewer.'' Enjoy a special lunch with two a la carte items and a glass of wine for lunch. 1+1=3 Organic Food Cygnus Albireo Cava Brut White Foam Spain Catalunya (Glass 950 yen) Mica Vinho Verde 2019 White Portugal Minho (Glass 1100 yen) Tombe du Ciel 2015 Red France Roussillon (Glass 1000 yen) Illegui Omenardi 2018 Red French Basque (Glass 1500 yen) yen) Iberico pork Prosciutto (1,500 yen) Spanish-style scrambled eggs Porcini mushroom rebuerto (1,320 yen) Special lunch (3,850 yen) The summary of the dishes I ate is as follows. Individual scores are in brackets, and the displayed price is Tax included [3.5] Iberico pork Prosciutto (1,500 yen) It's cut from raw wood, so it may not be the credit of the restaurant, but it's delicious. [3.7] Spanish-style scrambled eggs with porcini mushrooms rebuerto (1,320 yen) It has a fluffy and soft texture even when cooked, and you can feel the skill of a professional. The aroma and flavor of porcini enhances the overall deliciousness.・Special lunch 1. Assorted bongu appetizers 2. Homemade bread 3. Grilled skewer duck heart 4. Roast pork loin from Yamanishi Farm 5. Today's dessert and drink [3.6] Assorted bongu appetizers 1. Knead cream cheese with sardines 2. Carrot rapée 3. Homemade roast ham 4. Red sea bream carpaccio 5. Cold ratatouille 6. Marinated pitted olives The sourness is not noticeable and overall it is easy to eat. The only thing I was a little concerned about was the sardines combined with pineapple and cream cheese. The red sea bream has more flavor than I expected, so it's not bad. The sour flavor makes carrots easy to eat. [3.3] Homemade bread Crispy bread with smoked paprika powder. [3.3] Duck heart Grilled skewer Duck hearts are larger than chicken hearts and are more filling. I often buy the spicy stew of duck heart at Real Chinatown. Compared to that, the spices are milder, and although it is filling, the flavor is only so-so. I thought that the Hinai chicken hearts I had at a yakitori restaurant were more fatty and had a stronger flavor. [3.1] Yamanishi Farm Pork Loin Roast Yamanishi Farm in Bando City raises brand-name pork such as “Hitachi no Shine”. The pork loin from that farm isn't dry, but it doesn't have much fat and feels too light. Hard rice like saffron rice is hidden underneath. As for Basque Pork Dishes, I much prefer the bone-in shoulder loin of Iwanaka pork that I had at IBAIA in Higashi Ginza. [3.5] Today's dessert consists of red wine jelly, peach compote, vanilla Ice cream, and Basque chili pepper. It tasted like sangria made with gelatin and was quite good.・Possible after-meal drinks 1. Coffee (Hot or Ice) 2. Black Tea (Hot or Ice) 3. Iced Oolong Tea
