駅から徒歩10分のこちらのお店。駐車場は観光協会のところに停めてもいいらしいが、わからなかったので目の前の最大500円の駐車場へ。入った瞬間にゴマの香りがする薄暗い店内は土浦で1番古いお店らしく、とても雰囲気がある。天丼上を注文。10分もしないくらいですぐ出来上がってくる。熱々のエビ天が2つにかき揚げが乗っている。タレでふんわり柔らかくなった天ぷらがご飯と喧嘩せずに喉元を通っていく。天丼屋さんのタレはあまじょっぱくて飽きてしまうと思うがここのタレは違う。嫌な甘みがなく、飽きずに食べられる。つけあわせの漬物は手作りなのだろうか、少し酸味がある。あら汁も付いていて、カツオのあらが独特な風味だ。個人的にはこの魚臭みを七味をかけて食べるのが美味しかった。
