On my way to play golf in Ibaraki Prefecture, I stopped by "Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) Goen" near the hotel in Ushiku. The dishes I had that day were liver miso, octopus, seared mackerel, and Oita chicken tempura. The liver miso in particular was quite a delicacy and went well with sake. The staff were energetic, and the interior of the restaurant was clean and comfortable.
