For today's lunch, I went to Kawabata, which is just a short walk away in Higashi Chaya District. It's a really stylish restaurant renovated from a townhouse. The entrance has a door that you can open by pulling, pushing or sliding it, and it takes a few tries. A person who appears to be the wife of the restaurant guides us. We go to the table on the left as soon as we enter. Wow♡ The cutlery is already set out there, but the driftwood is cute too♡ When I told her I liked the object, she carefully explained to me that the paintings are by the same artist and that they are beautiful pictures with great meaning. It was cherry blossom season, so we started with cherry blossom tea, and then we had a lot of fun explaining the dishes ♡ ■Firefly squid, akamoku seaweed, Western chawanmushi, seared wagyu rotti, clams and octopus soft crab, red sea bream with kelp, sweet shrimp, walnut bread, petit prince, sakura butter, and the list goes on and on - every little detail was cute, and it was a delicate French cuisine meal with driftwood art thrown in (〃ω〃) I was able to chat with the chef about all sorts of things, and on my way out he played audio from a vacuum tube amplifier, which was exciting and fun.
