This is a Seafood Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in front of Morioka Station. It seems to be a good value for money at lunchtime, so this was my first visit. My first target was the famous tekiyaki donburi (500 yen). However, since I arrived around 1pm, it was already sold out. Of course. I ordered the "Sanriku Seafood Overflowing Donburi" (780 yen). A large serving of rice was free, but I decided not to order it this time. Instead, I ordered an extra bowl of soba. It's 350 yen if you order it by itself, but if you order a bowl of soba, you can add it for 250 yen. There were a fair number of customers, and it took about 15 minutes from when I ordered until it was served. I was getting really stressed out as the business appointment was running out of time (^^;) Seafood Bowl was topped with white fish, salmon, salmon roe, etc. Even with the normal amount of rice it was still quite filling. This Seafood Bowl also came with a raw egg. I tried it as is and Seafood was fresh and tasty. Adding the egg gave it a soft, gooey flavour which was also delicious! Seafood Bowl is twice as good and great value. With salad, chawanmushi, miso soup and Small dish all included for 780 yen it was great value for money! I added soba noodles for an additional 250 yen. They were neither good nor bad, just average soba noodles. It was a cheap, filling and satisfying lunch.
