Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture. Uwo Kame is located in the downtown area. I've been here several times in the past, but it's been a while since I last visited. Inside the store, the layout is the kitchen on the right, the counter across, and the tatami room on the other side. Established in 1901, currently the 5th generation owner. ■Highball (450 yen) Exhilarating opening sound. It's okay, I just did it too. ■Assorted sashimi (1,000 yen) Spanish mackerel, sea bream, grilled sea bass, octopus, and squid. It's a little expensive, but the fish is fresh and delicious. I'm in my 30's and it must have seemed expensive to me. But for me right now, this might be just right. ■Simmered bamboo Simmered dish (450 yen) Quite sweet flavor. Maybe it could be a little more spicy. Remade with sashimi soy sauce. I tend to run to cheap shops because of my poverty. But it's this kind of shop that makes me look back on things. It was during the holidays that I realized this.
