Fried tofu with yuba and cream cheese 600 yen Assorted smoked meat 880 yen Arawaza 5-go bottle 2000 yen Water and ice are free When I visited after 10pm on a weekday, there were 3 groups of customers in front of me. It's located about a 5-minute walk from Kagoshima Chuo Station, but since it's outside the area where many restaurants are gathered, I think most of the customers are regulars. When you order a drink, the appetizer comes first, and it's an assortment of three sashimi: mackerel, red sea bream, and amberjack. Since I was somewhat full, I ordered only 4 snacks. The fried tofu has an interesting texture from the yuba and cream cheese, and the seasoning is elegant and light with a hint of dashi. The smoked platter is mainly squid, with shellfish mixed in as well. It is thoroughly smoked and has a chewy texture. I also ordered plum crystal and dakkisho (boiled peanuts). The three of us ordered a 5-go bottle of sweet potato shochu and four dishes, and each person received change for 2,000 yen. The customer service was lively and pleasant, and it was a comfortable restaurant that wasn't as noisy as Izakaya (Japanese-style bar).
