Since it's a long holiday and Chinese New Year, there are a lot of people everywhere. I decided to have a quick bite to eat near Kagoshima Chuo Station before heading home, and as I was walking, I discovered a busy Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). The atmosphere seemed nice, and since it's a Satsuma Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), there seemed to be a wide variety of Kagoshima specialties on the menu, so I decided to give it a try. I took a seat at the counter near the entrance. The person in charge of the floor was very pleasant and consulted with me about various things. Since I had already eaten various Kagoshima specialties, I tried to order mainly fish-based fish that I hadn't tried yet, but unfortunately, they didn't have any sashimi from Kibinago. I was told that the deep-fried yellowtail was OK, so I also ordered the satsuma-age, the recommended fried daikon Karaage, and the opened fatty mackerel. I'm glad that there is also a half size. There were quite a few people drinking alone. We also received Mitake, Shima Bijin, and others who wanted to make their debut with Kagoshima dashi shochu. The Kibinago fried chicken was delicious, but I think I prefer the Nanbanzuke. It was my first time to have fried daikon radish, and it was quite good. I'm frying daikon radish for oden, and it's nice to have daikon radish that is crispy on the outside and soaked in the soup stock. The fatty mackerel was also fatty and delicious. It was a convenient restaurant that was close to the station and had a large selection of menus.
