I wanted to eat eel, so I visited Yokohama Yasohachi for the first time in a while. It's located on the 8th floor of NEWoMan, which is directly connected to Yokohama Station, making it convenient and easily accessible from the station. The store is very calm and the staff are very kind. There are course meals available, but on this day I ordered unagiju and tsukitō (one fish). It takes about 30 minutes to cook the unagiju, so we recommend enjoying some drinks and snacks during this time. I had light pickled vegetables as a snack, and the shiso was very effective and delicious. The unagiju that day was very fatty and perfectly grilled. It's delicious no matter when you eat it. The soup is Yuba soup, but you can change it to Liver soup for an additional fee. It's a restaurant you'll want to come back to for a celebration or to treat yourself.
