横浜関内の老舗日本料理店へ昼限定の活うなぎ定食をいただきに伺いました
夜は定食はなく“うなぎコース”になります
今回はいただいてませんが、こちらの名物は“うなぎの朴葉蒸し”です
鰻と牛蒡の相性抜群の美味しい朴葉蒸しです
開店時間5分前に着くとちょうどお店があいて、2階の個室に案内されました
靴を脱いで入ります
エレベーターもありますが階段で
まず本日の鰻ですと見せていただいたのは
愛知県一色産の活うなぎ
にょろにょろ動いて桶から飛び出しそう
鰻はうな重、蒲焼(鰻とご飯が別)、白焼きから各々選べます
今回はうな重と蒲焼にしました
10分ほどでお猪口に入った鰻の心臓がきました
まだピクピク動いています
そこに日本酒を注いでくれます
殺菌のためだそう
歯ごたえがあるコリコリした心臓
お酒のせいか少し苦味を感じました
20分ほどで待って鰻のかしら焼き
骨は砕いてあって食べやすいです
濃いめのタレ味
入店からちょうど1時間で蒲焼とうな重がきました
到着時間に合わせて焼いておいてもらうこともできますが、心臓酒は無しになります
大きな鰻はふっくら柔らかです
甘さ控えめの香ばしいタレ
見た目ほど味は濃くなくちょうどいい塩梅
デザートはついてません
最後にほうじ茶をいただきました
古い建物なので足元が寒かったです
滞在時間は1時間半
前日にお店から電話があり、鰻を来てから調理すると1時間位かかるので、到着に合わせて焼いておくか確認がありました
活うなぎをみたかったので、到着してから調理してもらうことにしました
