We had lunch at an Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) restaurant serving local Miyazaki Local Cuisine located across from the Kanagawa Ward Office. Today's daily menu is Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl), ginger-grilled chicken, and fried chicken thighs, all priced at 900 yen. I remember it being in the 800 yen range a while ago, but it can't be helped in a world where everything goes up in price. What I received was fried chicken. The large fried chicken is made from thigh meat, and the meat has a pleasant chewy texture. The rice goes well with the slightly strong seasoning. On the other hand, there are a few drops of dressing on the cabbage garnish. There was only soy sauce and shichimi or ichimi on the table. It would have been nice to have some sauce or mayonnaise.
