[4 minutes from Higashi-Totsuka Station] Creative Cuisine with seasonal sake! There are also private rooms
The seafood we pride ourselves on is fresh, the seared venison delivered directly from Okayama, and the special Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl)) with melt-in-your-mouth eggs are all impressive dishes |
On this day, I went to Higashitotsuka for drinking. It's getting noticeably cooler these days, and we're entering the season when appetite increases even more, so it's even more fun to visit Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in the Totsuka/Higashi-Totsuka area. It's still a slow pace, but I think we're making steady progress toward conquering the area. On this day, I came to this shop located in the east exit area of Higashi-Totsuka Station. In terms of restaurants in this area, I visited restaurants for lunch such as Spanish Cuisine [a:14000988, Ibiza], Japanese Cuisine [a:14009088, Yokowa], and Chinese restaurant [a:14007615, Ryushoen]. However, this will be my first review of the night part. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the building where Ryushoen and Yokowa, as well as Mediterranean cuisine [a:14015706, Flavor] are located on the first floor. Looking at the preliminary reviews, it seems like there are many variations of the dishes and they are very particular about the ingredients, so it seems like we can have high expectations. The lighting inside the store is rather dim. When you enter, there is a counter with 8 seats on the right side, 4 tables for 4 people on the left side, and a semi-private room that can accommodate about 8 people near the entrance. On this day, I visited a little after 6pm. There were two female groups of customers. I feel like we can expect a restaurant that is popular with women after all. I take a seat at the counter and take a quick look at the menu, but to put it simply, it seems like they are very particular about their cuisine. We have a wide variety of today's recommendations, this week's recommendations, and new menus. However, although everything on the menu looks delicious, the pricing structure is likely to be quite expensive if you order a lot of food with the restaurant in mind as a casual, popular Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). My first impression was that I needed to be careful. First, I ordered a draft beer. The otoshi is made with Chikuzen-ni and simmered flounder, but the seasoning of this otoshi is quite good. As for Chikuzenni, my first post as a working adult was in Fukuoka, so I ate so-called ``Gameni'' so much that I hated it, but for people from Kanto, it was fresh even though it had a light seasoning. Chikuzenni reminded me of that. The boiled flounder has a sweet seasoning, which is Kanto style, but the combination is good. It's excellent for a 330 yen appetizer. The second item, today's recommendation, is live oysters from Akasaki, Iwate Prefecture. Of course, this is the first raw oyster of the season, but raw oysters are raw oysters after all. As soon as you put it in your mouth, you will feel happy. You can also take in plenty of taurine, so it is a supreme food that is gentle on the body. I added Oolong Hai to my drink, and had liver paste as my third dish. Serve generously with liver paste on crackers. The volume is plentiful, and the rich flavor is just as expected. Although it is a Japanese-style restaurant, it is unusual to have such a menu. Finally, three Grilled skewer. I received heart, liver, and seseri. The heart is decorated with wasabi, which is really cool. The melt-in-your-mouth liver, the flavorful seseri, and the freshly grilled meat are delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the food, but the bill ended up being 3,320 yen. When I looked at the menu, I had the impression that it was a little expensive, as I mentioned earlier, but after drinking and eating this much, I think it's a reasonable value for money. I thought it was a restaurant with quite a presence as a higher-class Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) for the masses.
