A tasteful Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in a residential area
I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance for a holiday dinner with friends. When making a reservation, you can request the dishes. I asked for an assortment of appetizers, live fish, grilled dishes, and porridge. The assortment of appetizers (small) is packed full of variety! Potato salad, yam, kumquat, carrot, radish, pickled radish, I like the potato salad with apples♪ Sashimi, grilled horse mackerel and yellowtail, grilled fish, red sea bream, egg porridge. All the dishes are delicious, but... The porridge is exquisite, as they call it a porridge teahouse! The gentle taste makes me smile♪ Thank you for the meal.
Warm up with some green tea porridge! Finally I was able to visit this famous local restaurant.
I visited for lunch on a very cold holiday. For lunch I had a porridge set meal. You can choose between plain or green tea porridge. The porridge of the day (800 yen) is cooked with Nara tea. I had never heard of a place that has roasted green tea made just for tea porridge. It's very filling! The five types of roasted soybeans add a fragrant accent. The porridge is lightly seasoned, but Small dish are strongly seasoned, so it's just right♪ Small dish are: fried egg and green onion, kinpira burdock, pickled radish, smoked daikon radish, and miso soup with Chinese cabbage and shimeji mushrooms. I'm happy to have a proper set meal! It warmed up my chilled body~ Thank you for the meal. Next time I'll visit at night. I'm looking forward to it♪

I made a reservation and visited again on a holiday with my eldest son. This time, there were many customers and it was lively. Assorted appetizers (large) Sashimi - tuna and? Boiled fish - kinki Pickled Chinese cabbage Rice porridge with roasted green tea Assorted appetizers - shrimp, lotus root, potato salad, turban shell, purple potato pouch, broad beans, carrots, snap peas, etc. Sashimi - thick cut and very filling! Pickled Chinese cabbage - nostalgic taste, chopsticks can't stop eating♪ Stir-fried egg and fried tofu - made in a hurry. It seems to be a simple dish that a prostitute made on a hibachi for a man she liked. Rich and sweet. I wonder what kind of feelings she had when she cooked it back then. Sake - Sharaku Kuzuryu - Most of the sake was drunk by my eldest son. Kuzuryu was chosen to go with the boiled fish. We enjoyed the food and sake in a unique(?) atmosphere surrounded by many old clocks and various ornaments. Thank you for the meal. Sorry the photos are dark...
