鶴岡八幡宮を背に、若宮大路を海に向かって歩くと、個性的な外観が目を引きます。
鶴岡八幡宮・大本山建長寺・大本山光明寺などの御用達の老舗。
鎌倉五山第一位の大本山建長寺の由緒正しい精進料理は、この本店が担当しているそうな。スゴ！
歴史的な有名人や文豪の写真など見ながら、一階のホールへ。
オーダーは、「建長汁御前」1980円（税込）。
鎌倉時代に「煮物の神様」と呼ばれた創業者「初代 御代川鯉之助」直伝の料理の数々が並びます。
甘めの味に出汁を利かした煮物は、今の時代でも絶品。
特に黒豆は丹波篠山産を使用し、四日間かけて仕上げています。
「天下の包丁」と言われた料理の技がさえてます。
色・艶・味を極めた料理たち。
うまいぞ、こいつ。
デザートの芋プリンまで一気に完食。
