平塚駅南口から大磯方向、花水台を抜けて下花水川橋近く「ゆうちゃん」仕事上がりの一杯。
花水川を渡れば大磯町、いわば平塚市の一番端、花水川の堤防脇の道路添いにある居酒屋さん。駐車場もあり、お昼はランチで賑わうお店のようですが、今回は仕事上がりの一杯を求めて訪れました。２０時前、先客数組。手前がカウンター席、奥にひろいお座敷席があります。
カウンター脇の氷の上に鮮魚や貝類がいろいろありますね。アジなどは地物でしょうか。ごく軽くのつもりだったので、瓶ビールとタコわさ、それに桜えびのかき揚げをいただきました。
桜えびのかき揚げがなかなか秀逸。大きめでいい色に揚がっていて、火の通し具合がみごと。油っぽくなく、サクサク軽快にいただけます。天ぷら専門店にも負けない出来に感心しました。
メニューは魚介系はもちろん串物もあるようで、魚がやや充実した居酒屋さんというかんじ。目の前でお兄さんがホタテを捌いてバター焼きにしたりしているのを眺めながら、かき揚げをつついてビールをぐびっ。飾ることない居酒屋呑みの醍醐味ですな。まあ、わざわざ遠くから行くお店かどうかということも言えますが。。
人数が多ければ、刺身盛り合わせが楽しそうです。チャンスがあればトライしてみましょう。海沿いの国道１３４号にも近いので、週末のどライブのランチに寄るにもいいかも。ごちそうさまでした。
