多少かしこまったランチ会食で初めて伺ったのは、
武蔵小杉駅から歩いて5分くらいの所にある
ホテル精養軒のレストランラウンジ
まずは生ビールをお願いしつつ、ランチメニューを読み解く。
なるほど。和食と洋食があるのね。
和食は天ぷらなどが入った和膳が中心、
洋食はお肉がメインな訳か。
そこでお願いしたのは、
島根県産の松永牛という品種のステーキ。
これは初めて聞く名前の牛だ。
それはそれで楽しみ。
やがて生ビールが登場し、
しばしそれを飲みながらメインの登場を待つ。
ここの生ビールは麦芽の味がシッカリ出ていて
少々苦味が強くて美味しい。
さて、およそ20分ほどで着皿。
ほほう。レアな感じの焼き加減でとても美味そうだ
さっそくその肉片を横のソースを付けていただく。
うん！柔らかい！おっ？このソースはガーリックか。
残念ながら肉の旨味がニンニク風味でかき消されてしまうが、
この柔らかい肉の食感だけでも満足。
次にソース無しで肉片を再び口へと運ぶと、
肉本来の味が舌から脳の味覚中枢にビビビッと響く。
これはいい肉だ！という分析結果が脳で弾き出される。
うん、美味いね。洋食を選んで正解だった。
いい肉は心身ともに満足させてくれる。
