以前は矢口交差点付近の行幸道路沿いにお店があった。
その頃に一度お邪魔しているが、今から40年以上前のこと。
少なくとも50〜60年は続いていると思われる大変歴史のあるお店だ。
現在の場所に移転されたのは全然知らなくて
今回偶然お店を見つけて立ち寄ってみた。
新店舗は間口は広くないが奥行きのある2階建ての建物。
白い外壁に店名が書かれている。
店内は右手手前から中程に調理場があり、左手と奥が客席になっている。
照明は極端に絞られていてバーのように暗い。
以前の店で覚えているのは、木製の床と古いジュークボックス、四角いピザ等で
やはり照明は暗かった。
今回のお店でもジュークボックスは健在で1970〜1980年代の懐かしい音楽が
流されていた。
ランチタイムのメニューだがセットメニューが三つある。
それぞれの基本的な内容は、好みのピザまたはパスタ、サラダ、パン、食後の飲物
となっている。
今回はパスタのランチ（連れはピザ）にドルチェを付けていただいた。
パスタはサーモンとイクラのクリームソースをチョイス。
パスタはアルデンテで食感良く、サーモンの旨味とマイルドなクリームソースが
バランス良くまとまった味だった。
連れの食べたピザは昔と全く同じ形状の四角で生地は薄い。
マッシュルームとサラミがトッピングされたミックスピザだったが
カリカリとした食感と中央の柔らかい食感の両方が楽しめる。
焦げたチーズの風味が古い記憶を呼び起こした。
EaglesやBeach Boysを聞きながら
しばしの間昔にタイムスリップした気分に浸ることができた。
