ず～っと相模原在住ですが、番田駅を訪問したのは初めて。
タイムスリップしたような、昭和なムード漂うローカルな駅＆駅前。
「朝挽き外一そば」を食べたくてこちらのお店を訪問。
朝挽き外一は、朝に店内の石臼で挽いたそば粉に一割の割粉を加えた香り高い蕎麦との事。
毎日数量限定というので早い時間に行った。
すんなりオーダー出来たのでホッと安心していたが、暫くして
「今日外一はありません。」と、残念なオーダー取り消し。
仕方なく“迷ったらコレ！”と卓上お勧めメニューがある「冷やし天蕎麦￥1350」と、
冷たい「とろろそば￥950」に変更。
冷やし天蕎麦は大きな車海老の天婦羅が乗ったぶっかけタイプ。
出汁がかなり濃いが、プリプリの食べ応えある海老天２尾は嬉しい。
とろろそばは見た瞬間、そのビジュアルにびっくり。
大盛りを頼んだのではないのに、「何の罰ゲームですか？」ってほど、丼に山盛りの蕎麦。
その上に他店の３～４倍の量のとろろが乗っている。
冷たい蕎麦が丼に山盛りされている光景は初めて。
てんこ盛りのとろろは原当麻産の大和芋なのか、箸で持ちあげられるほどの粘度。
ええ、大和芋は地元の名産なので好きですが・・・。
蕎麦を食べているのか、蕎麦が入ったとろろを食べてるのか解らない。
メニューの裏に「姫シリーズ」というハーフサイズの丼数種と、
「桜組」というハーフ麺数種があり、「単品でもオーダーできます」と。
姫と桜から１品ずつ選んで「オリジナルセット」にすると合計から￥100引きしてくれるらしい。
しかし、通常の女子には姫か桜単品でやっとなのではなかろうか・・・。
たくさん食べて満足したい方にお勧め。
