I knew they were open for lunch, but I never had a chance to go. I remembered it while wandering around in the rain, so I went in. I ordered the chicken nanban, which is a daily special. I was envious of the lively, middle-aged people who had been drinking since lunchtime. I was waiting absentmindedly, flipping through the book I was reading, when the chicken nanban, which I hadn't had in a long time, was prepared for me. I asked for a large portion of rice on impulse, but it was quite a large portion, so I think the regular size would have been better. The miso soup, Small dish bowl of pickled vegetables, shredded cabbage, and chicken nanban with plenty of tartar sauce were all great. The daily special is a great thing.
