2023年の年末は富士屋ホテルに宿泊しました。
明けて2024年。元旦の朝食は、富士屋ホテル謹製のおせちを頂くことに。
朝食会場はメインダイニング フジヤと旧御用邸 菊華荘のどちらか。（メニューは一緒）
おせちということで、迷わず菊華荘を選択しました。
菊華荘は、明治28年に皇室の宮ノ下御用邸として造営された由緒ある純日本建築の建物。
昭和21年に払い下げを受けて今に至ります。
また、随所に菊の紋が残されていることから名付けられたそうです。
一旦ホテルを出て、菊華荘の敷地内に入ると数奇屋風書院造りの純日本建築が見えてきます。
さっそく中へ。
大きな窓に赤い絨毯敷の廊下、猿頬天井(さるぼおてんじょう)と筬欄間(おさらんま)の御座所。こちが会場になります。
おせちは菊の御紋が刻印されたお重で提供。
お酒は日本酒「箱根街道」が桝で、お雑煮はお代わり自由です。

お重はどれも美味しかったですが、特に銀鱈西京焼きが脂の乗り、味噌の塩梅が素晴らしかった。
また、お雑煮は繊細な出汁にほんのりと柚子が香る上品な味わい。香ばしい焼餅も良かったです。
勿論、お雑煮はお代わりしましたよ。（＾＾）
由緒ある場所で1年を始めるのに素敵な食事が頂けました。
