当初は鹿児島に行くつもりがまん防になり、まん防から逃れる為に訪れた四国、しかし出発数日前に高知県が晴れてまん防の仲間入り…初日は到着も遅く、高知競馬場に行ってしまったので居酒屋どころかイオンのなけなしの惣菜でした。
さて高知で泊まったのはJR四国系列のビジネスホテルJRクレメントイン高知、こちらはその1階に入る地元の居酒屋チェーンです。当時は夜の営業は休止し、JRクレメントイン宿泊者向けの朝食会場として開放していました。せっかく高知に来たのだからカツオを食べたいと思ってはいたものの、実は全くのシーズンオフで恐らく冷凍モノかと。でもキッチンではちゃんと藁で焼いていて単なるビジネスホテルの朝食とは違う本格派、さすが地元で展開する居酒屋です。カツオは肉厚なものが5切れに、薬味は青ネギ、白ネギ、ニンニク、生姜、みょうがと盛り沢山、卵焼きに冷奴、漬物に貝の和え物と小鉢も充実していました。醤油も刺身用と通常の醤油の2種類用意があり、かなりのこだわり。前日の消化不良を解消してくれる満足感ある朝食、ごちそうさまでした。
