We are open every day of the year, from 10:00 to 16:00, except New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Please stop by if you are in the area.

Since opening in 1962, we have been serving Shimanto delicacies, including river seaweed tsukudani, natural eel, and river shrimp, with the desire to "deliver to everyone the food culture of the Shima
...nto River, which is said to be Japan's last clear stream." Shimantoya is a souvenir and restaurant that manufactures and sells products directly. From the raw materials to the manufacturing process, our products are additive-free, color-free, and handmade, embodying our commitment and modest pride. The first floor of the store is a souvenir shop selling Shimanto delicacies, and the second floor is a restaurant serving Shimanto River cuisine. You can enjoy Shimanto River cuisine in a tatami-style room while looking out at the Shimanto River, and the menu is of course full of local flavors made with Shimanto's delicacies such as wild eel. Depending on the season, you can enjoy your meal while looking out over the Shimanto River from the veranda terrace.
