熊本の繁華街に構える馬料理専門店。本店『天國』は創業約40年のお店です。やはり"専門店で馬肉が食べたい！"との思いからこちらに飛び込みました。
予約無しでカウンター席へ。なお、僕以降は予約客のみの受付でした。特上馬刺等、全7品の『桜小道コース（7,000円税込）』を注文。
「解凍が不十分の馬刺が来たらどうしよう…」という素人考えは杞憂でした。馬刺は肉質に集中できる絶妙な状態。融点が低い馬肉は時間が経つことでとろける食感に変化していきます。至福…。
もっと色々な部位を味わうには『馬刺の5種盛合せ』が良いと思います。
