店名及び料理は、住所の木地屋町から『きじや』とし、雉を飼育し、きじ料理の専門店を30年前に開業現在に至ります。 又、水が豊富な事から大小4台の水車を回し、水車オルゴールによる「五木の子守唄」など、聞きながら食事が出来ます。『店主お勧め/きじ鍋』きじのスープが旨く鍋の後の雑炊が格別。
