I decided to visit our restaurant because the amount of course meals would be small and the rating distribution of ``Premium Pound Gion Branch'' was 3.73, which was reasonable, and because it was close to Kyoto Station. It looks like Teppan-yaki restaurant and a Sushi restaurant enter through the same entrance and split into two in the middle. There seemed to be quite a number of customers at the Sushi. The entrance to the restaurant, the hallway, and the stairs had a luxurious feel to it, and the food seemed promising. It was an enjoyable meal, but from the taste itself, it's just as the title suggests. (1) Ginger Ale There was a lot of ice, so the taste felt bland. (2) Appetizers (a) Marinated salmon (b) Beef and foie gras pate (c) Wagyu roast beef (d) Persimmon wrapped in Prosciutto All tasted normal, but the persimmon in Prosciutto It was sweet and I felt it was the only good thing. However, the sweetness was too sticky for me to pair with Prosciutto, so I didn't think it would be suitable for pairing with raw ham. The roast beef is also okay. Is it better to make your own? . . There are no other comments. (3) Cow tongue The tongue was stewed until it melted. I think the taste of the curry is delicious and suitable for everyone, but the temperature was a little low. I was told that what was on the side was creamed potatoes, but there were also small cubes of potatoes. I would be surprised if Robuchon's potato puree was served here, but it was nothing like that, and the taste was quite bland compared to that. All in all, I felt that Cow tongue was better. As for Cow tongue itself, I felt that Cow tongue from a Cow tongue shop in Ochanomizu, Tokyo was overwhelmingly more delicious. If I have a chance to visit the store, I would like to write a review. (4) Salad The dressing was honey and lemon and had a slightly sweet taste, which I thought was delicious, but as you can see from the attached photo, the amount of dressing was too small. It was almost like eating a raw salad. However, this salad had many good ingredients. In addition to common ingredients such as mizuna, baby leaves, and trevis, there are also red daikon radish, shiitake mushrooms, and sweet potatoes. The thinly sliced red core daikon radish looked like it had been alive until recently and had a good taste. It's not spicy. The shiitake mushrooms had a strong flavor and a plump texture, which was also good. The most delicious thing was the sweet potato. It's in season. (5) For the main meat, I chose beef fillet. It is said to be aged meat, but it didn't feel like aged meat. The taste of the aged meat I ate in Matsuyama a long time ago (I forget the name of the restaurant, but by the way, the restaurant in Matsuyama, a meat kappo restaurant that ranked high in Tabelog, was also closed, so it may have closed. The location is Robeway. (near the bus stop), but I think it had a more subdued flavor. In comparison, it felt quite normal. I think the meat is delicious, but I usually get Hitachi beef and it's even better than that, so it's hard to comment. The garlic was prepared professionally so it didn't burn, and it was fragrant and very delicious. (6) Garlic rice Because it contained eggs, the color was more like fried rice than garlic rice. There is a garlic taste in the aftertaste. The taste of garlic becomes noticeable several hours after eating. Contains onions, shiitake mushrooms, and meat. (7) Dessert (a) Sesame ice cream It was ice cream made with crushed black sesame seeds. There is a bar mix recipe for sesame ice cream, but since you can make your own ice cream that tastes better than the recipe, I was inspired to try making my own sesame ice cream. (b) Matcha pound cake Apparently they use Tsujiri matcha, but it was average. It was a little too sweet for me. The sugar felt like regular white sugar. The type of sugar you use has a huge impact on the outcome of your pound cake. (c) Strawberries and Kiwis Kiwis are barely in season, but strawberries are not at all. Strawberries are abnormal in winter, so I guess we can't do anything about it. Christmas cake too! Just because Santa's colors are white and red, there's no need for the cake to be those colors, right? The kiwi taste was too bland. (d) Houjicha It seems to be made by Tsujiri, but the taste was bland. This concludes the review of each individual dish. There wasn't anything that wasn't delicious, but there wasn't a lot of delicious food either, so it was an average meal with a poor overall impression. (Looking back at the photos I took, it looks very delicious.) The amount may seem small to the average man. I chose the 8,800 yen course, but the total was just under 10,000 yen. There was another Teppan-yaki restaurant in Kyoto that I had wanted to go to (I decided not to eat there because I didn't think I could eat that much), so I thought I should have gone there. As I will write about in reviews of other stores in the near future, I once again feel that privately run stores are a better fit than stores with large capital (there are exceptions). Thank you for the meal.
