On the way back from going to Fujiwara Aritsugu (the famous Tsukiji Yuji is a shop that has a noren partition) to buy Japanese knives, I decided to go to this shop for lunch, which I had been interested in for a while. I stopped by. It was after 13:00 on a weekday, but there was still a line, so I had to buy a meal ticket before lining up. I was the fifth person. The staff explained that this seems to be a system where you line up after purchasing a meal ticket. When I entered the store, I noticed that there were many customers from Europe and America. I ordered Tsukemen (Dipping Nudle) (large serving), assorted char siu egg, and duck char siu rice bowl. Tsukemen (Dipping Nudle) was served after about 3 minutes of waiting. Overall, my impression of the food was wonderful. The aroma from the noodle strings, the thickness of the noodles and how well they were cooked, and the flavor of wheat spread throughout the mouth, giving it an outstanding taste. It gave me a nostalgic taste of the best wheat flour, which reminded me of the days when I used to work at a noodle shop myself, selecting flour, mixing it, kneading it myself, rolling it out, cutting it, and then boiling it. I thought it was a noodle string from a real noodle shop. After all, the noodles are from Menya Teigaku. As for the duck chashu rice bowl, the quality of the duck meat and grilling was excellent, and the rice was a blended rice made by Hachidai Gihei, so there was no way it wasn't delicious. Even though I have a harsh reputation for this restaurant, I can praise it wholeheartedly. It's a Tsuji I pass by often, so I'd like to stop by again.
