うどん激戦区京都に2012年9月、新たに参戦した京風うどん ちどり。
京の花街 先斗町を、四条通から100m強北上したところにある。
席はカウンターのみの１階と、座敷、掘りごたつ、半個室からなる２階で構成されていて、
お一人様はもちろん、デートからグループでの宴会まで幅広い利用が可能。
料理は店名を冠した名物(？)ちどりうどんを筆頭に５種のうどんメニュー、
セットにできるご飯もの４種の他に、おばんざいや出汁巻き等の一品メニューも充実している。
(近々うどんすきも提供予定とのこと)
ちどりうどんを一言で評すれば、上品な京風うどん、という感じ。
最近うどんと言えばはなまるうどんな状態だった私にすれば、久々にちゃんとしたうどんを食べたな、と。笑
讃岐のようなコシはないが、伊勢のようなヘナヘナでもない、適度に弾力のある麺と
しっかりとした出汁を味わい、満足して帰りました。
そりゃはなまるうどんよりはだいぶ高いけどね。先斗町やし。
でも岡崎まで行って行列に並んで食べるよりはいいんちゃうかなと。
確かに山元麺蔵も岡北もおいしいけどね。
と言いながら気付いたらこっちも行列できてたりして･･･。
