This is a Kyoto-style authentic udon restaurant that opened in a corner of a townhouse in Pontocho, where maiko and geisha walk down the street. The deep flavor and delicately prepared dishes that are
... different from those of chain restaurants will satisfy even the most discerning gourmets. The soup stock that is the basis of all the dishes is extracted from more than 10 carefully selected, expensive natural ingredients such as Rausu kelp, mejika, mackerel, niboshi, urume, and honhana bonito. It is blended with great care to match the ingredients. The noodles are medium-thin and chewy, and the combination with the soup stock is exquisite. In addition to udon, there are plenty of single-item menus such as obanzai and mackerel Sushi, so we recommend having udon as a final dish while drinking in the evening. The "Udon-suki Chidori Nabe" course, which requires a reservation, is also available for parties of two or more people.
