四条東洞院を下る。
足元に小さな小さな木の看板に豆電球が1つ。
路地を覗くと暗がりに灯りが少し。
あの灯りを信じて良いか、入るのも躊躇う路地を奥へ奥へと進むと突き当たり近くにその店はある。
入口にはワインがズラリと壁2面にてお出迎え。
店内の照明は落ち着きがあり、赤い壁と沢山の吊るされたワイングラス。
奥には京都らしい坪庭。
音楽はイタリアらしく明るいボサノバやゆったりとしたジャズ。
作務衣姿の料理人と洋装のソムリエがそれぞれ1人。どちらも若い男だ。
3種飲み比べを白でオーダー。
飲み比べで680円はかなりリーズナブル。
右 北イタリアのスッキリ系
真ん中 中部のほろ苦
左 シチリア島の甘めワイン
ソムリエが丁寧に説明してくれる。
続いて秋の焼八寸。
懐石料理で八寸が1番好きだ。
あの限られた範囲の中に美しい世界が広がる。
その八寸だけをオーダー出来るのはこの上ない喜び。
こちらの八寸も例に漏れず美しい。
食べるのがもったいないが頂くとしよう。
生ハムの中にお漬物。
いちじくのソースは胡麻味噌。
洋の中にも和が潜んでいる。
しかし西京焼きなど完全に和の方が美味。
和のテイストも入っていて美味しいと伝えると、
「和なんですよ、板前なんで」
となんとも料理人らしい答え。
こういうピリッとした料理人の作るものの方が美味しいと知っている。
言葉選びを間違えて失礼した。
席料500円ほど。
ワイン好きの上司に紹介したい。
ちょっと良い店でのデートや女子会にも良い。
