京都市役所近くのエリア、鴨川沿いの木屋町通りに立地します。
ビルの少し奥まったところにお店はあるので、少し隠れ家的な雰囲気もありました。
重厚なドアを開けて入店すると、正装のインド人？の方がお出迎え。
ホールの女性の店員の方は青いサリーを纏われていて、優雅に接客。
アンティークな調度品に、クラシカルなテーブルとチェア。
京都にいながら、インドにプチトリップした気分です。
落ち着いた老舗レストランといった、雰囲気。
テーブルに案内されて、メニューを広げます。

非常にスピーディーにセットの提供です。
私はDセットをチョイス。
カリーは6種類から選択出来て、チキンマサラ、サンバル、日替わりのキャベツとじゃが芋のサブジ、バスマティライス、コーヒーとしました。
こちらは化学調味料無添加ということで、全体にライトな食べ応え。
刺激的な味わいは控えめで、素材本来の旨みがダイレクトに伝わります。
バスマティライスは水分が少なめのドライな感じの味わいで、3種のカレーを、交互に混ぜていただきました。ピリ辛のカレーもあれば、日替わりのキャベツとじゃが芋のカレーは、キャベツの甘みが際立つ、これカレー？という味わい。
中央のトマトベースのスープが、酸味と辛味があり、良いアクセント。
チキンティカ、シークカバブは2人でシェアしましたが、1人では結構量が多くて、しんどくなりますね。
食後タイミングよく、コーヒーをサーブしてくださいました。
スパイスが効いた、刺激的な味わいが主流の中、
本場感のあるカレーを味わえる、貴重な1軒であると思います。
