今日は、京都市役所の近くにある、インドレストランへ行ってみました。
■インドレストラン ムガール
1987年に創業したという、インド料理のお店のようです。
ラストオーダーの時間が、２１時になっていました。わりとギリギリの時間帯に、滑り込みました。
白いカーテンがかけられた、きちんとしたレストランです。
スタッフさんは、ビシッとスーツを決めていて、高級感がありました。
席に着くと、キャンドルを持ってきてくれて、いい雰囲気です。
メニューを見ると、タンドール窯で炭焼きにしたお料理やカレーなどがありました。
ワインと一緒に楽しむのも、オススメのようです。
カレーの種類は、菜食カレー、チキンカレー、シーフードカレーなど、バリエーションが豊富です。
カレーと主食は、別々で注文する形式になっていました。
両方注文すると、２千円ちょい…という感じでしょうか。
●ナン
タンドール窯を使って、炭火で焼き上げるというインドのパンです。
大きめのサイズで、もっちりとしていました。
●イカスミシーフードカリー
イカスミを使った、黒いカレーです。
ムガールさんのオリジナルカレーのようです。
ルウの中には、シーフード、パプリカ、パクチー、ローリエなどが入っていました。
ルウをお皿に広げて、ナンにつけて味わいました。
イカは、食べやすいサイズにカットされていて、とても食感がいいです。
ホタテの旨味がルウに溶け込んでおり、とっても美味しく感じました(^-^)
ごはんも食べたくなったので、追加で注文です。
●バスマティーライス
インドの香り米です。
一番少ない「Sサイズ」を選択しましたが、意外とボリュームがありました。
細長いライスなのが特徴的ですね！！
ふわっとしていて、ほのかに香りがありました。
ライスと一緒にカレーを食べていると、じんわりと辛くなってきて、額に汗がにじみました。
ルウにコクがあって、旨辛ですね！！
ナンもボリュームがありました。
さすがに、ナンとライスの両方を注文すると、お腹がいっぱいになりました。
なかなか他では味わえないようなカレーです。
満足の味わいでした。
食後には、フェンネルを持ってきてくれました。
フェンネルシードと、砂糖でカラフルにコーティングされた２つのタイプがありました。
スプーンを使って、手に取って味わうようです。
辛いものを食べたあとのお口のケアや、整腸効果もあるそうです。
普段はなかなか入れないような、インドレストランのカレーを楽しむことができました。
接客がしっかりとしていて、気持ちよく満喫できるお店に感じました！
