今回はカレー巡り。京都遠征編。
行ってきたのは「ムガール」というインド料理店。
スパイスカレーの有名店などはたくさんあるのですが、北インド料理派の自分が選んでしまうのはこういうところ。
老舗店らしく正統派のインドレストラン系っぽさに惹かれます。
場所は地下鉄の二条駅近くにあるビルの２階。
入り口から貫禄ある雰囲気ありました。
狙っていたのは、あまり見かけない種類の"エッグブジャ"（税込1,270円）。
インドのスクランブルエッグ、朝食や屋台などで食べられてるとか言われる料理です。
これだとパン系の相性が高いということで、"タンドーリロティ"（税込400円）を単品オーダー。
クーポンでパパドを一枚もらい、支払いは合計1,670円です。
◎料理・味…レストラン調の丁寧な作り、食べやすいおいしさ、量もしっかり。バランス取れた料理で、個人的にかなり好きな部類。
他のお客さんが頼んでいたランチセットはかなり提供時間が早く（おそらく作り置き）、水分多めのゆるいカレーだったので、ランチとグランドメニューのカレーの差が結構ありそうな気が。日替わりのサブジは良さそうな感じでした。
・エッグブルジャ（ベジタブルソース）
一言で表せば、カレー味のスクランブルエッグ。
器にこんもり盛られた卵には、玉ねぎ、トマトと言ったオーソドックスな食材に加えてグリーピースとレーズンなんかもあり。こういうとこが良さですね。レーズンの甘みがいいアクセントになってる。
パンの方が合うとは思うけど、ライスでも悪くなさそうです。
ソースはチキン、マトン、ベジから選べるらしく、それぞれ味が変わるみたい。色々試しても良さそう。
・タンドーリロティ
全粒粉を使った薄焼き無発酵の釜焼きパン。
サイズは18㎝ぐらいのものが２枚と適量です。
口に入れると特有の粉の風味、噛みしめると徐々にほんのり粉の甘み。食感はロティにしてはソフトかなという気がします。
・パパド
豆のせんべい。特に変わったところなく、普通のパパド。クーポン見せるだけで一枚もらえるのであれば、もらっておくべき。
◯サービス…服装、対応などなどきっちりしていてここらもレストランっぽさあります。
インドの方と思われる店員さんは日本語かなりお上手でやり取りスムーズ。
◎雰囲気…落ち着いたレストラン調の雰囲気。新しい感じはないけど、清潔感あるというかしっかり手入れされてる気がします。
おしゃれなお店なんかより、全然こういう方が自分は好きです。
◯コスパ…値段そのものは総じて高め設定ですが、料理の作りやお店のタイプ的に相応かと。ここもやっぱり食堂というよりレストランって感じがします。
ただ、ランチセットは比較的お値打ち設定です。
◎総合…レストラン調の正統派インド料理店です。
そこらのナンカレー屋さんより少し高めではあるものの、そういうお店と一味違う料理や落ち着いた雰囲気を楽しめるはず。
おすすめかどうかは置いておき、個人的にはこういうお店は好きです。ぜひ他のカレーも試してみたい。
