I used it at a drinking party. This is actually my first time using a riverbed in authentic Kyoto. I was worried about the heat as it was a weekday evening, but it had rained earlier, so I was fortunate that it wasn't too hot. It came with a course meal and all-you-can-drink. The dishes were quite elaborate, such as grilled sweetfish, yuba tofu, and sashimi. The final dessert was coffee jelly. The food and atmosphere were typical of Kyoto.
