京都市営地下鉄丸太町駅下車徒歩２分のところにある当店。駐車場なし。当店は京都初の熟成牛専門店。週末のランチタイムの開店時間に合わせて訪問。外観はこじんまりとした京町屋。外から見えるショーケースには、肉の大きな塊りが見える。店内に入るとステーキの焼き場とテーブル席があり、奥にカウンター席。その奥にはお庭も見える。それほど広くはないが、雰囲気上々だ。奥のカウンター席に案内してもらった。狙っていたのは、

予約不可。しかし、お客さんはそれほどいなくて、すんなり注文。しばらく待って、着丼。店員さんが蓋を開けてくれる。フワッと立ち込める強い油の匂い。この匂いはあまり好きでない。重の他にサラダ、味噌汁、漬物付き。肉はご飯の上に敷き詰められており、壮観。少々硬かったが、甘いタレと絡み、旨味たっぷりのもの。このお値段ならお得に感じる。また、お邪魔してもよいと思わせるお店。
