まだ食にそれほど興味を持つ前、マンガ美味しんぼで見て知っていたすっぽん鍋のお店、食仲間の意見では美味いは美味いけど値段の価値があるかは微妙という人と、絶対行くべきという方に分かれるようですが、この先値段が下がることはなさそうなので、今回初訪問でお邪魔してみました！
接客はザ京都という感じで、まぁこんなもんだろうなという印象、奥の庭に面した個室に案内されました。建物の外観以上に歴史を感じる個室で個人的には雰囲気は良いと思いました。
前菜の後は1600〜2000℃の火で熱せられてぐらぐらと煮立ったメインのすっぽん鍋が運ばれてきます。スープを一口いただくと素材の力強さがすぐにわかる美味さ、身も抜群に美味しいですね！鍋が2回出た後は、香の物が出て、餅と玉子の雑炊鍋が作られて運ばれてきます。河豚でも雑炊がメインと言われますが、やはりすっぽんも雑炊美味いですね！鍋と甲乙つけ難い美味さでした。最後にデザートこの日は柿が出て終了でした。
確かにお値段安くはないですが、建物の雰囲気とお味を考えると、自分は一度は体験しておくべき素敵なお店だと思いました！
