Today's lunch is at Cooking Experience Ban in front of JR Nijo Station. This Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) usually serves ramen in the morning, but I came here because they serve toshikoshi Ramen only on New Year's Eve. I'll have the "Toshikoshi Ramen Made by a Dashi Sommelier!" and the "Karaagenist's Karaage." The bowl arrives. First, the soup. The broth is seafood-based, with the sweetness of the soy sauce standing out. The noodles are medium-thin and slightly curly, made with whole wheat flour, and have a slightly crisp texture. The toppings are herring, onion, and yuzu peel. There are eight large pieces of Karaage chicken, so it's very filling! It's my favorite type. Thank you for the meal.
