From Kiyomizu-dera Temple, we head for Yasaka Shrine through Ninenzaka. Assuming that all the restaurants will be crowded around 11:30, we had an early lunch near Sannenzaka. "Yukiya" is a soba restaurant, but today's destination is a little different. Since my last visit to Kyoto, I've developed a formula for "Kyoto lunch = Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl)". When I saw Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl) on the menu in front of the restaurant, I immediately decided. I didn't force anyone to have it, but in the end, all four of us in my family had Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl). Well, we get along well. The broth is light, made from Kyoto broth. That makes the soft egg stand out. And the aroma of the green onions is also strong. The colors are also quite good. It soaks into my body tired from walking. When I break the yolk in the middle, the rich flavor of the egg is irresistible. Yet the chicken is also strong, and it feels like the ingredients respect each other. Due to the location, the area tends to be priced for tourists, but the taste is worth the 1,250 yen. It was delicious.
