ビジネス出張で関西に行ったおり、京都に泊まりました。翌日、新幹線で帰るだけの土曜日。
折角なので急遽、お昼を美味しいものをいただいてから帰ろうと思い立ちました。通常ですと、数日前から色々美味しいところを予約するのですが、当日の昼の予約です。
はた、と困りホテルのコンシェルジュと相談をしました。
今まで訪れた京都のお料理屋さんをお伝えし、それ以外のお料理やさんで、次の条件で探していただきました。
・お値段は特に気にしない
・1人で伺うのでカウンターを希望
・京料理
コンシェルジュの方が何件か電話をして下さり、こちらを推薦してくださいました。
祇園丸山さんは、もちろん有名店でしたので、存知あげておりましたが、自分のような未熟者が行っていいものか少し思案しました。たまたま、お昼、空いていたというのもご縁かと思い、9000円程度のお任せでお願いしました。更に、お昼の利用でこちらに書かせて頂くのも邪道かと思いましたが、感動しましたので、是非書かせていただこうと思いました。
カウンターは8席。
調理は奥で行い、カウンターでは多少調整をするような感じでした。
お料理は正統派和食。丁寧な丁寧な仕事の上のエレガントさ。
特にお出汁は、あれ、これ利尻？思うほど味が濃くでており、細胞に染み込む美味しさです。
また、酢味噌なども、上品で、素材の味を最大限に引き出す素敵な脇役です。
お料理が美味しいこともさることながら、器や、その色使い、袱紗の色合いなど、艶っぽく、なんとも祇園らしく、うっとりとしました。器などは全てご主人が作家さんに作ってもらっているそうです。
土鍋でたかれたご飯、とても食べきれず、お土産にしてもらいました。
新幹線で開けてみて、なんと嬉しい驚きでしょう！ 桜色のおにぎり。なんとも春らしく、新幹線というつまらない空間が一気に華やぎました。たらこをまぶしてくださったんですね。
また、女将さんが、祇園丸山で監修したお茶”祇園心茶”を持たせてくれまして、お茶とおにぎり、そして駅で買ったビールと、ゆっくりとしたおやつとなりました（笑）
すっかりファンになってしまいまして、次回は4月に６人で夜にお伺いする予定です。
